School of Fish

 My fish story...

I have loved fish ever since I was a boy swimming with them in the Mediterranean, off the coast of Cyprus. I was fascinated by their color, shape, the way they shimmered, and the shadows they cast against the ancient ruins under sea. It was beautiful, sometimes scary, but always mesmerizing.

The fish I carve are made of repurposed, recycled  shop scraps left from end pieces of drapery rods. After carving, each piece is painted, leafed in silver or gold, antiqued, and sealed with a clear coat.
